The State of the People Power Tour is set to hold its National Assembly in Baltimore, Maryland, from June 19 to June 21. This event, of great significance in the current social and political climate, is a crucial platform for Disability Community for Democracy, Inc., a national partner for the tour, to engage with the community.
Black liberation, a movement that seeks to empower and uplift the Black community, encompasses disability justice, which advocates for the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities. It is imperative to foster relationships and cultivate alliances, given the prevailing circumstances in the United States, where these movements intersect and can mutually support one another.
We must uphold every individual's right to liberation; any delay in doing so will hinder the freedom of the disability community. We must act now to ensure a more inclusive and just society.
Disability Community for Democracy will have a table at this event. We urge individuals in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to take advantage of this opportunity and attend the National Assembly. Your presence and active participation are not only welcome but also crucial at this critical juncture. You are an integral part of this event.
The agenda is currently accessible on the website dedicated to the State of the People Power Tour. Participation in the event is complimentary; however, prior registration is required to obtain up-to-date information. We want to ensure that everyone can participate fully. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please reach out via email at hello@stateoftheppl.com. The comfort and inclusion of all individuals are of utmost importance. I look forward to your presence next week.
